Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using Ask Ranger ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. "You" refers to the individual or entity using the Service. "We," "us," and "our" refer to Ask Ranger.

2. Description of Service

Ask Ranger provides an AI-powered phone assistant that:

Answers incoming phone calls on your behalf
Takes messages and generates call summaries
Makes outbound phone calls at your direction
Sends notifications via Telegram and SMS
Helps draft and publish social media content

The Service requires an active internet connection and a Telegram account.

3. Approval Inbox

The AI assistant never acts without your approval. All significant actions (posting content, making calls, confirming appointments) go through our Approval Inbox. You must explicitly approve each action. The assistant takes messages but never commits on your behalf.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must:

Be at least 18 years old
Provide accurate information
Not use the Service for illegal purposes
Not attempt to abuse, hack, or disrupt the Service
Not use the Service for harassment, spam, or fraud

5. Phone Numbers

Subscribers receive a dedicated phone number. This number is provided by our telephony partner and is subject to their terms. The number remains active while your subscription is current. If you cancel, the number may be released after 30 days.

6. Call Recording and AI Processing

All incoming callers are informed that the call is handled by an AI and may be recorded before they are connected. By using the Service, you authorize us to:

Process incoming and outgoing calls using AI
Generate transcripts and summaries
Store call data as described in our Privacy Policy

You are responsible for informing your contacts that they will be speaking with an AI assistant when they call your Ranger number.

7. SMS Messages

If you opt in to SMS notifications:

Standard message and data rates may apply
Message frequency varies based on your call volume and activity
Reply STOP to opt out at any time
Reply HELP for assistance

We will not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.

8. Pricing and Billing

The Service costs $9.99 per month, billed monthly via Stripe. Your subscription includes:

One dedicated phone number
20 inbound calls per month
20 outbound calls per month
Telegram and SMS notifications

Overage calls are billed at $0.05 per minute. We may change pricing with 30 days notice.

9. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:

Service continues until the end of your billing period
Your phone number is held for 30 days in case you resubscribe
After 30 days, your number may be released
Your data is retained per our Privacy Policy

10. Limitations

The Service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee:

100% uptime or availability
Perfect accuracy of AI transcriptions or summaries
That the AI will handle every call scenario correctly

The AI assistant is designed to take messages, not make decisions. Critical or time-sensitive matters should not rely solely on the Service.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ask Ranger is not liable for:

Missed or mishandled calls
Inaccurate transcriptions or summaries
Actions taken based on AI-generated information
Service interruptions or data loss

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.

12. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Service to:

Make unsolicited calls (spam/robocalls)
Impersonate another person
Conduct illegal activities
Harass, threaten, or abuse others
Circumvent spam filters or safety measures

Violation may result in immediate account termination without refund.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via Telegram. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
